The Department of Accounting at Towson University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position, beginning August 2013.


Applicants should possess a PhD/DBA or equivalent in accounting, or a PhD/DBA in a related area with professional certification in accounting. ABD applicants will be considered for a Visiting Instructor position.


Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate accounting courses. Towson University is the only University System of Maryland institution to have AACSB accreditation for both its business and accounting programs. Our greatest needs are in auditing and financial accounting, but all areas will be considered. The visiting position is for the 2013/2014 academic year. Salary and benefits are competitive.

The College of Business and Economics:
The College of Business and Economics (CBE) enrolls over 3000 students and is accredited by the AACSB for both its business and accounting programs. It conducts undergraduate business programs with majors/concentrations in an array of fields, and jointly offers an MBA program and an MS in Accounting and Business Advisory Services program with the University of Baltimore.
