The Department of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology & Deaf Studies at Towson University invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, clinical faculty position at the assistant clinical faculty level beginning August 21, 2013.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include clinical supervision of Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) students, teaching, academic advising, assisting the Audiology Clinical Director with administrative duties as needed, including off-campus site visits for Au.D. students, and university and community service. This position involves helping to build interdisciplinary clinical specialty areas within the new Institute for Well Being at Towson University such as vestibular assessment, tinnitus, and other areas and participating on interdisciplinary research teams in clinical areas. The position also requires maintaining clinical excellence and engagement in clinical scholarship.

Requirements:
Au.D. or Ph. D. in audiology, 5-years clinical experience in audiology, at least 1-year of experience supervising audiology practicum students, ASHA certification as an Audiologist, and Maryland licensure or eligibility for Maryland licensure Candidates with previous university teaching experience will be given preference. Proficiency in American Sign Language is not required, but any level of ASL ability will be viewed positively.

The Department of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology and Deaf Studies currently has 22 full-time faculty who teach over 300 undergraduate majors across two baccalaureate degree programs: Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and Deaf Studies. The department’s graduate programs enroll over 90 students in the master’s degree program in Speech-Language Pathology, and over 40 students in an Audiology clinical doctorate program.
