The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice at Towson University invites applications for a sociology tenure-track
position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2014.
We seek someone with a research focus on stratification/inequality and applicants with civic engagement experience or interest who can link
our students to the local or global community. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and working
with a diverse student population and show clear potential for scholarly research and publication. Interest in pursuing external funding is
desirable. A PhD degree in sociology is required, but advanced ABD candidates will also be considered and hired at the rank of instructor
with a required degree completion date of February 1, 2015.
