The Department of History at Towson University invites applications for a full-time lecturer in U.S. history, with a 4/4 teaching load. The position is renewable annually for a period up to three years. The candidate will be required to teach lower-level sections of the U.S. survey 1865 to the present. When scheduling permits, lecturers may teach an upper-level course in the area of their research specialty.
ABDs may apply, but Ph.D. in history is required when position commences in August 2013. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarly potential. Applicants must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarly productivity, and active participation in service to the department, college, and university.
