Thank you for considering Towson. We believe that it's
an amazing place to get an education while discovering more about the person you
are, and the person who you will become. There will be several opportunities
to visit campus this year and we look forward to meeting you then.
If you have additional questions about the Freshman Transition Program, please contact program coordinator Ann Gamble by phone, 443-840-1735, or by email at agamble@ccbcmd.edu.
The University recognizes that one of students’ top concerns when
making the transition to college is meeting other students so we created fun
pre-orientation events. These events are not required and operate on a
first-come-first serve basis. We are confident that you will find an activity
below that best suits you!
Tiger Talks are new this year and developed based on current TU students’
ideas. For a short three hours you will get to know the campus by completing and
competing in fun activities with other new students who have similar interests.
After your Tiger Talk you will be invited to a private Facebook group so you can
continue to connect with your new friends.
By participating in Tiger Talks you will
connect with current students and other new students with similar interests,
have the opportunity to ask questions about what to expect from college
life,
begin to feel acclimated to the campus,
learn strategies for a successful transition to TU,
start to become aware of the possibilities for involvement in college,

Enjoy
community service? Participants in Project Serve will move in early and then
spend two days giving back to the Baltimore community. Past experiences have
included building houses, volunteering at a local food back, preparing meals and
helping beautiful schools. Project Serve participants also have the opportunity
to connect to our residential learning community, Tigers Serving Others.
Please refer to the application in your To-Do List for more information.

one pre-orientation activity. Participation is limited to one Tiger Talk,
