Bringing the Silver Screen to MarylandThe Maryland Film Industry Coalition commissioned a study with RESI Applied Economics and Human Services (RESI-AEHS) to conduct an analysis of the film and video industry in Maryland. Calculating the Geography of Crime. Can mathematics be used to help solve serial crimes?Towson researcher Mike O'Leary and the Applied Mathematics Laboratory have received two grants from the National Institute of Justice to develop a mathematical algorithm that can estimate the location of the home base of a serial criminal based on the locations of the offender's crime sites.. read more>> |
