Electronic Health RecordsContact: Yeong-tae Song, Computer and Information Sciences Dr. Yeong-tae Song and his research team are developing a Web-based medical record codification system that provides the following features: Web based patient record management; automatic codification of patient diagnosis and treatment history using standardized medical record coding system; natural language processing of physicians’ description to generate intended standard code; and secured web access.
ROI on Spending Contact: Erin Nueslein, RESI AEHS Many state and local agencies are unable to keep track of their programs and the outside vendors running those programs. DHR-FIA had such a dilemma within its contract monitoring unit, how to keep track of all of the funds expended, goals stated and actual outcomes. RESI came up with a web based solution that enables DHR-FIA staff to monitor the performance of these contracts.
Forensic Accounting Contact: Daraius Irani, RESI-AEHS/CBE As many state and local agencies utilize third parties to manage their electronic transactions, it is imperative that transactions are all accounted for and processed correctly. MdTA’s E-Z pass system is managed by a third party. MdTA requested that Towson put together a team to verify that from the time a vehicle crosses through a toll facility, the revenue is correctly accounted for in the general ledger.
