Dr. Yeong-tae Song and his research team are developing a Web-based medical record codification system that provides the following features: Web based patient record management; automatic codification of patient diagnosis and treatment history using standardized medical record coding system; natural language processing of physicians’ description to generate intended standard code; and secured web access.

Many state and local agencies are unable to keep track of their programs and the outside vendors running those programs. DHR-FIA had such a dilemma within its contract monitoring unit, how to keep track of all of the funds expended, goals stated and actual outcomes. RESI came up with a web based solution that enables DHR-FIA staff to monitor the performance of these contracts.

As many state and local agencies utilize third parties to manage their electronic transactions, it is imperative that transactions are all accounted for and processed correctly. MdTA’s E-Z pass system is managed by a third party. MdTA requested that Towson put together a team to verify that from the time a vehicle crosses through a toll facility, the revenue is correctly accounted for in the general ledger.
