Our External Graduate Assistantship Program can place one of our graduate student assistants in Applied Information Technology, Computer Science or another field in your office to work on your projects! The cost to you? You can have a graduate student assistant for 20 hours/week for 12 months for just $17,000.

TU is partnering with government agencies such as the Defense Information Systems Agency and educational institutions such as Harford Community College (HCC) to offer BRAC-related educational and workforce programs in Harford County, at Towson and online. Offerings include a master’s degree in Applied Information Technology at the HEAT Center, near Aberdeen Proving Grounds; biotechnology programs at Towson University and HCC; a fully online master’s degree or post-baccalaureate certificate in Integrated Homeland Security Management; and more than 40 Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) approved online professional certifications in non-credit areas responsive to BRAC and to the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) workforce cluster disciplines.

Towson University takes the principle and components of the PMBOK Project Management guidelines and customizes the information for your organization. A customized PM program will significantly benefit your organization through cross-training, increased productivity, providing measurable outcomes, and inclusion of specific a knowledge base and business processes to fit your organization. For state agencies, the program will include subject matter experts from across the state and would include the MD regulations, policies and procedures.

Forensic DNA Lab Training

Towson University is the home to two programs in Forensic Science: The Bachelor of Science in Forensic Chemistry and the Master of Science in Forensic Science. Both of these programs combine theoretical concepts with hands-on laboratories to provide a seamless knowledge from the basic science behind the technologies to hands-on experience with modern equipment commonly found in crime laboratories.
