Conditional Tenses - Exercise 10

Directions:  In the blank below each sentence, write the correct form of the verb in parenthesis.  You may add auxiliary verbs will, would, have and had as needed.  When you are finished, click  the "Check My Work" button at the bottom of the page to check your answers.

1. If it rains this afternoon, I (bring) my umbrella to your house.
    

2. If I knew more about it, I (say) something.
    

3.  The plant would thrive if you (give) it enough water.
    

4.  People (be) more sympathetic if they knew the whole story.
    

5.  If the supermarket had been open, Martha (buy) some groceries.
    

6.  The boat would stop if they (lower) the anchor.
    

7.  If the mail carrier had delivered the letter, I (have) information for you.
    

8.  Jack would have made up his mind sooner if he (know) about the problem.
    

9.  If the boy had known the truth, he (tell) his parents.
