Conditional Tenses - Exercise 15

Directions:  In the blank below each sentence, write the correct form of the verb in parenthesis.  You may add auxiliary verbs will, would, have and had as needed.  When you are finished, click  the "Check My Work" button at the bottom of the page to check your answers.

1. If the distance had been farther, we (ride) the train.
    

2 . You (remember) the plot if you had read the book more carefully.
    

3.  The snake (bite) Sam if he fed it.
    

4.  The pie will attract flies if it (sit) on the windowsill.
    

5.  If you (love) me, you would not say such things.
    

6.  Walter (water) the garden if we hadn't gotten rain.
