Irregular Verbs - Exercise 17

Directions:  In the blank below each sentence, write the correct form of the verb in parenthesis.  Do not add auxiliary verbs.  When you are finished, click  the "Check My Work" button at the bottom of the page to check your answers.

1. Would you like the coffee beans whole or (grind)?
    

2. My sweater (shrink) in the dryer yesterday.
    

3.  I (run) as fast as I could but could not catch the cat.
    

4. The birds (fly) south when the weather got cold.
    

5.  We (drive) for fifteen minutes before realizing we were lost.
