Students contemplating law school after graduation should make an appointment to meet with the University's Pre-law Advisor, Dr. Fruchtman or Dr. Cates and obtain a copy of the "Towson Pre-law Handbook."
Prelaw Society
Towson has an active Prelaw Society. The Society is a student organization which explores issues related to the the theory, study, and practice of law. Past meetings of the Society have included discussion of LSAT preparation strategies, discussions of contemporary legal issues, and presentations by law school admissions directors, lawyers, and judges. You may join the Prelaw Society list by emailing Cindy Cates ccates@towson.edu.
Prelaw Journal
The Towson Prelaw Journal is a journal of commentary and opinion, written and
edited by students. Students from all disciplines are invited and
encouraged to submit work. The journal is distributed both on-line and
in hardcopy. For details, please contact the prelaw advisor.

Dual Law Program
Towson University offers to qualified students the opportunity to apply to the early admission program at the University of Baltimore School of Law http://law.ubalt.edu/. Admission is not automatic, but is contingent upon acceptance by the University of Baltimore Law School (including review of LSAT scores). The program permits up to 29 credit hours earned at the University of Baltimore School of Law to be applied to the undergraduate degree at Towson University.
