Throughout the academic year, the president recognizes the exemplary service or performance of groups and individuals through special awards. These awards include, but are not limited to the President’s Diversity Awards and the President’s Award for Distinguished Service to the University as well as honorary degrees, as approved by the University System of Maryland Board of Regents.
