The
Division of Academic Affairs is composed of seven colleges and the academic support
units necessary to manage the academic enterprise, on and off campus.
The provost is the chief academic officer and vice president of Academic Affairs, responsible for academic programs and services offered through the colleges. Each college includes a number of departments under which the academic programs are offered.
The
division also includes the university library, special institutes
and programs, as well as administrative units such as institutional
research, assessment and enrollment management.
Academic Affairs provides
leadership and oversight in curricular matters, the development
and administration of academic policies and standards, faculty development
and research, and the use and improvement of the campus academic
facilities. Essential information about academic resources for faculty is also found here.
