Position:
The College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor position in the Political Science Department to begin August 2015.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. at the time of application. Strong commitment to teaching excellence and an active research agenda.

Responsibilities:
Teach introduction to metropolitan studies, urban politics, state and local government and other courses related to metropolitan development. Research and productive scholarship. Student advisement as well as service to the department, university, profession and broader community after the first year. Faculty assigned a reduced instructional workload of six (6) course units per academic year for the first year. Beginning the second year the workload reverts back to the standard instructional workload of seven to eight (7-8) course units.

Application Process:
Review of applications begins October 31, 2014 and continues until position is filled. Send a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, sample syllabus for an undergraduate course that the applicant has taught or would like to teach. Official transcripts to all graduate and undergraduate education and three letters of recommendation to:
