The College of Health Professions invites applications for a non-tenure track, 10-month Lecturer position in Exercise Science in the Kinesiology Department to begin August 2014.
Master’s or Doctoral degree in exercise science or related area. Experience in higher education teaching and interdisciplinary activities and demonstrated success in working with diverse populations are highly preferred.
Provide high quality instruction in a variety of courses in the exercise science major and participate in academic advising. Maintain currency in teaching and the profession and provide service to the department and one or more of the following: college, university, profession, community.
The Department of Kinesiology, located in the College of Health Professions, has 30 full-time faculty and more than 1300 undergraduate majors in Physical Education/ Teacher Education, Athletic Training, Sport Management, and Exercise Science. In addition, the Department has initiatives at the College’s Institute for Well-Being, through its Wellness Center, that supports student education, community education, and research. The Department also has a strong, positive relationship with the University’s Division of Athletics.
