The Department of Mathematics of Towson University has an opening for a full-time lecturer starting August 2014. A Master’s degree in mathematics is required, but a doctorate in mathematics is preferred. Also preference will be given to candidates who have a record of excellence in teaching a variety of mathematics courses. The successful candidate will teach four course units (twelve contact hours) per semester. The salary range is $40,000-$45,000.

The Department of Mathematics offers bachelor’s degree programs in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, actuarial science and risk management, and mathematics education. Master’s degree programs are offered in applied and industrial mathematics, and mathematics education.
