The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics invites applications for two 10-month, non-tenure track Lecturer positions in the Mathematics Department beginning August 2014.
Master’s degree required, but a doctorate in mathematics is preferred. For one of these positions, preference will be given to individuals with background in statistics. Preference given to candidates who have a record of excellence in teaching a variety of mathematics courses. Enthusiasm and proven teaching excellence to contribute to current department efforts to maintain high standards in, and bring teaching innovation to, undergraduate mathematics instruction.
Teach four course units (twelve contact hours) per semester. Position but may be renewed for one of the two positions contingent upon a positive review and budgetary approval.
The Department of Mathematics offers bachelor’s degree programs in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, actuarial science and risk management, and secondary mathematics education. Master’s degree programs are offered in applied and industrial mathematics, and mathematics education.
