The College of Fine Arts and Communication invites applications for a non-tenure track, 10-month lecturer position in Graphic Design with the Art + Design, Art History, Art Education Department to begin August 2014.
MFA in Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design with strong typography, layout and conceptual skills. Interactive and information design expertise a plus. Applicants must show evidence of professional accomplishment, a strong commitment to creative activity and teaching excellence.
Teach 3 courses per semester at undergraduate and graduate levels as assigned. Assist in screening/portfolio reviews. Participate in departmental committees as needed. Expected to advise undergraduate students and participate in departmental and university related areas of service.
The Department of Art + Design:
The Art + Design studio facilities include six computer labs with current technology, fully-equipped photo imaging facilities, as well as metals, sculpture and ceramics studios. Other departmental resources include a comprehensive digital fabrication and rapid technologies lab, a healthy MFA program, and two galleries.
