The College of Fine Arts and Communication invites applications for a non-tenure track, 10-month Lecturer position in Art History with the Art + Design, Art History, Art Education Department to begin August 2014.

PhD in the History of Art in modern and/or contemporary art with demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Preference given to candidates with experience in areas such as modern design and contemporary theory. Experience with online teaching preferred. Applicants must show evidence of professional accomplishment and teaching excellence.

Teach four, 3-contact hour courses per semester at the undergraduate and graduate levels as assigned. Courses would include: Survey of Western Art, classes on modern and contemporary topics, and graduate seminars in area of specialization. Advise undergraduate students and participate in departmental and university related areas of service.

The Department of Art + Design:
The Art + Design, Art History, Art Education offers the Bachelor of Art and the Bachelor of Science degree in art history and also directs the M.A. in Professional Studies/Art History in the College of Liberal Arts.
