University faculty are invited to drop in and visit classrooms, computer labs, technology centers and other centers throughout campus.

Participating groups will have staff available to answer your questions, discuss and
demonstrate products and services or tour their facilities.

2013 Multicultural Conference: Call for Proposals Due and Hold the Date


Theme: Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders: The Role of Diversity in Educational Excellence
March 8, 2013 in the University Union, Chesapeake Rooms
Call for Proposal’s Due: January 31, 2013
At this annual event, faculty will have the opportunity to hear keynote speakers who are experts in the field of diversity and multiculturalism and also participate in various workshops.

The conference also provides an opportunity for faculty to engage in professional development and discuss diversity initiatives with their colleagues from across the university.

Spark #5


Hold the Date: Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 5:30 - 8 p.m. in the Towson University Marriott Conference Hotel’s Greenridge Hampton Room.


Towson Spark events provide faculty a platform to share anything and everything regarding education, teaching, learning and technology. Ten presenters each have 5 minutes and 20 slides to *spark* a conversation about their subject matter. In addition, there are networking opportunities before and after the event.

Office of Academic Innovation Offerings


As of January 14, the Center for Instructional Advancement and Technology (CIAT) is now a part of the new Office of Academic Innovation, directed by Dr. Jane Neapolitan, the Assistant Provost for Academic Innovation.

The Office of Academic Innovation will continue to offer emerging technology and teaching workshop series, teaching circles and events for faculty.
