January Conference 2014

University of One: Transforming Traditions to Reach Every Student

The Division of Academic Affairs hosted the annual January Conference for all faculty on January 15, 2014 in the Chesapeake Rooms of the University Union.

The theme of this year's conference was “University of One: Transforming Traditions to Reach Every Student."  The conference honored the traditional instructional practices that helped establish the legacy of Towson University as the premier teaching institution in Maryland and promote innovative teaching practices that result in student academic success. Faculty, students and guest presenters shared experiences and best practices for implementing teaching excellence that include time-tested and emerging techniques.

The conference featured a session with the keynote speaker, 45-minute presentations by individuals and groups of presenters, a student panel, plus an interactive room in which to explore various types of Towson’s instructional technologies.
