Program Development and Modification Process

Exchange and Study Abroad Programs

Outlined below is the approval process required to develop an exchange or study abroad program.

1. The primary TU contact begins developing the draft Memorandum of International Agreement (MOIA) and business plan.  These documents are reviewed and approved by a number of entities and should be accompanied by the MOIA Routing Sheet

Review and approval of the MOIA is required by the department chair/program director, dean, international agreements review committee, University Counsel, Assistant Vice President for Assessment, and the Associate Provost.

2. The associate provost prepares the final MOIA for signature by the presidents of both institutions. The final MOIA is returned to the Provost's Office with all signatures.

3. Copies of the fully executed MOIA will be filed in the Provost Office and Study Abroad Office as appropriate.
