Towson University Retired Faculty

Towson University acknowledges and greatly values the significant contributions retired faculty members have made over the years to enrich the lives of their students as well as the life of the university.

As a retired faculty member, you are a vital part of Towson University’s successes and a lifelong source of enrichment for the students you have taught here.  ”

Dr. Timothy J. L. Chandler, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Faculty, Professor and Librarian Emeriti

The university's faculty and librarian emeriti is composed of a distinguished group who have served for many years to make Towson University such an exceptional university. This recognition serves as a reminder of the extraordinary contributions these individuals have made to better the lives of our students and university community as a whole.

Remaining Engaged

Many faculty members retiring from full-time service very much want to remain engaged and connected with the university. As such, the university has a variety of resources and programs which aid in fostering this important relationship.

Regalia Loan Program

The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the establishment of a loan program for faculty who may not own regalia so that they may participate in commencement activities.

We are currently seeking regalia donations to make available for current faculty when requested. These donations, made by a number of retired faculty, not only acknowledge and preserve the academic legacy of former faculty, but also both help and inspire current faculty members. Donations of gowns and hoods will be accepted and are tax-deductible. For more information about this program, please contact Bethany Pace.
