Learn how to end mindless eating (e.g. emotional eating, binge eating, dieting) and begin to enjoy a balanced relationship with food. Mindfulness can help individuals break free from routine eating habits by examining the thoughts, feelings, and internal pressures that affect how and why you eat (or don’t eat). Presenters include Registered Dietician/ Licensed Nutritionist/Dietician Debbi Kauffmann.

The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt presents keynote speaker Jenni Schaefer, best selling author of Life Without Ed: How One Woman Declared Independence from Her Eating Disorder and How You Can Too, and her new book, Goodbye Ed, Hello Me: Recover from Your Eating Disorder and Fall in Love with Life. Jenni’s insights have made her a role model and a source of inspiration to people across the globe looking to overcome their eating disorders and live complete lives. This free event takes place at the Conference Center at the Sheppard Pratt Conference Center within walking distance of campus. This event is likely to be standing room only.
