Hey Everyone!!
- Our Icebreaker tonight consisted of names and a fun
“Agree or don’t agree” game.
- First on the agenda… Treasurer position is open!!
Qualifications are as follows:
- Full-time Student; Minimum 2.0 Cumulative GPA and
a desire to be involved! We want whoever is considering the position to
keep in mind that we do have a weekly Exec Board meeting and that just
because you are the treasurer that does not mean you only do treasurer
stuff! As an exec board we share the responsibilities.
- All you have to do is send us a short paragraph as
to why you want to be the treasurer by the next meeting (before the
meeting!) so we can present the information to the group and then we
will vote the following week.
- Coming Out Monologues!!
- Please submit stories by March 1st to
towsonqsu@gmail.com or
lkaplo1@towson.edu ! We are looking for all stories about coming
out. Allies, gay, lesbian, trans, intersex. Anything! And the best
part…you do not have to read it yourself! We can have someone read your
story submitted by an anonymous person!!
- Delta Lambda Phi!!
- Interested in being part of a gay/bi/progressive
fraternity? For more info contact Eric Jones at

- LGBT Student Development
- GLSEN Youth Summit:

this Saturday!! If you are interested in helping out contact
csnide1@towson.edu
- Dr. Joy Lane, Coordinator of Multicultural Programming
- Dr. Lane talked to the group tonight about the
Counseling Center. She gave us lots of fun facts and prizes for
answering questions, or just having questions!
- She reminded us that the Center is open to
everyone and we all get 12 free sessions a semester! Plus they have a
great reference center for off campus counseling as well!
- California Hate Crimes
- The last thing we talked about was the hate crime
in a Californian high school. Earlier last week a boy was shot in the
head. There were a couple of articles about it but the one Danielle
wanted to focus on was an article asking why we care so much about the
fact that it was a hate crime, when acts of sexism and racism are just
as prevalent as acts of homophobia. A direct quote was “Children will be
children.”
- The conversation brought up a lot discussion on
whose responsibility is it to teach children morals and ethics, as well
as how we can fix the problem. And what is the real problem.
