TU Diversity Definitions
Recognizing and valuing the variety of backgrounds, perspectives and beliefs held by members of the Towson University community.
Our diversity tenets include sex, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, color, nationality, gender identity and expression, mental/physical ability, religious affiliation, and age.
Our working definitions for diversity also recognize that diversity can be shaped by our organizational/institutional structure as illustrated in the Diversity Wheel as well as in our larger cultural and global context as illustrated in the Diversity Markers.
