Human Resources Helps to Raise Donations for Recovering Soldiers
The Office of Human Resources partnered with the Red Cross last week to help wounded soldiers recovering at nearby Fort Meade. HR staff placed boxes around campus to collect donations for the Red Cross’s Warriors in Transition program, which provides soldiers with the basic household items needed during rehabilitation and entry into civilian life.
Donations were collected from March 9 to 13 and then collected by representatives from the Red Cross. Nearly 36 boxes of donated items were collected during the week, including cookware, clothes, iPods and a television.
Photos of the donation boxes and collection are below. Thanks to everyone who participated in the program!
