DEPARTMENTAL EXAMS

TU offers departmental "challenge" exams in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Health Science, Mathematics, Foreign Languages and Psychology. Students' achievement in a particular test must be equal or superior to that of students having earned a grade equivalent of 2.00. Although departmental standards for granting credit may exceed this minimum, credit may not be granted when achievement is below 2.00 level work. Departments may also offer advanced placement with no credit given based on an individualized assessment.

Please read all information carefully:

  • The following exams are given at Towson University three times each year.
  • Fee: $100 to take the test + $30 per unit to apply units for passed tests to your TU record.
