VETERANS BENEFITS

The Veterans Affairs Office is part of Towson University’s Office of the Registrar and functions primarily to certify veterans' enrollment status in courses at the university to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Contact the university's Veterans Affairs Office at least eight weeks prior to your date of enrollment to ensure timely processing of paperwork. If you withdraw from a course or stop attending after you register, you must notify the TU Veterans Affairs Office.

The Veteran's Information Sheet provides details and forms to facilitate the processing of your veterans’ educational benefits. This information applies to those veterans, reservists, and dependents of veterans who may receive benefits under Post 911 (Chapter 33), the Veterans Educational Assistance program (VEAP) – Chapter 32, the Montgomery GI Bill, Reservists – Chapter(s) 1606-1607, and Active Duty Veterans – Chapter 30, Survivor’s and Dependents’ Educational Assistance – Chapter 35, and the Vocational Rehabilitation Program – Chapter 31.
