Students Achieve Goals through Education (SAGE)
SAGE Programs
SAGE Program sponsors or co-sponsors a variety of programs throughout
the year. SAGE Program participants are encouraged to keep their
Tuesday afternoon schedule, from 4 to 5 p.m., open. Various SAGE
Program activities occur in this time slot weekly. These include,
but are not limited to, the following:
- Social Activities: SAGE students, mentors and
staff gather and celebrate academic achievement and diverse
cultural groups,
listen to music, play board and card games, and enjoy light food
and refreshments.
- Academic Workshops: The workshops address time
management, test-taking strategies, goal setting, developing relationships
with faculty, use of campus-wide academic resources, successful study strategies
and other relevant issues.
- Career Development: A concrete plan is needed to
achieve goals through education. Career development programs help students
plan, evaluate and refine their career development strategy.
- Financial Planning: Basic budgeting
principles are presented and students are encouraged to handle
their financial affairs responsibly.
Campus Organizations
