Academic Affairs Committee

Director- Megan Herman

Mission Statement
The mission of the Academic Affairs Committee is to provide a foundation for representing student issues and concerns regarding academics. This committee is composed of representatives from each college. Together, these representatives form both college-specific views and representational views that are expressed from the student body to the faculty and administration.

Committee Meeting Times
The first and third Tuesday at each month in the SGA office, UU Room 226. Anyone is more then welcome to stop by!

Current Projects

The Academic Affairs Committee has developed a list of initiatives for the semester, but new suggestions are always welcome. First and foremost, members are dedicated to the cultivation of equal and beneficial education opportunities for all Towson students. Therefore, the Committee is working actively to address student concerns pertaining to academics, including the calculation of Grade Point Averages, academic advising and course availability. Members of the Committee are always seeking student feedback to ensure that relevant and pressing issues are brought to the attention of faculty and administration. The Committee is currently seeking a dedicated individual from each college within the University to serve as a representative and liaison for that college within the Committee.
