Bio
Michelle Manasse joined the TU Sociology Department in Fall 2005. Her MA
and Ph.D degrees in sociology are from Emory University, and she
received her BA in sociology from Franklin & Marshall College. Her
teaching interests include delinquency, corrections, theories of crime,
and mental health.
Manasse’s research explores the intersection of mental health and
delinquency/criminal justice. Her current work centers on mental health
diversion courts, exploring the operational obstacles that arise in
attempting to bridge the mental health and criminal justice systems.
