Towson Debaters Make History at Cross Examination Debate Association National Championships in Oklahoma

Deverick Murray and Adam Jackson, Towson University Debaters and alums of the Baltimore Urban Debate League, contributed to the ongoing history of the Towson University Speech and Debate Program by advancing to the triple-octofinal round at Cross Examination Debate Association Nationals in Norman, Oklahoma March 21-25, 2007. Jackson, Urban Debate League Scholar, and Murray his partner are first years who advanced to the elimination rounds with a five wins and three loss record. The pair debated the University of Florida in the elimination round. This marks the first time Towson has ever advanced to an elimination round at this tournament.

Barbora Ondruskova, International Debate Scholar from Slovakia, Evelin Andrespok, International Debate Scholar from Estonia, finished with a respectable record of 4-4. Iman Brickus and Deven Cooper also finished at this years nationals with a respectable record of 4-4.
