Towson Debaters Reach Finals of Madison Cup

Towson University debaters Camelia Hostinar, Simonida Subotic, Barbora Ondruskova and Normands Pelnens represented the University at the Madison Cup hosted by James Madison University on March 14, 2007. The team of Camelia Hostinar and Simonida Subotic reached the finals round. The long table debate which featured Harvard, Brown, Johns Hopkins and Towson, the Towson team placed fourth earning a $1,000 cash prize. The event also featured an award for best floor speech. The winner was Barbora Ondruskova.
