COMMUNITY SERVICE

Project Serve

Project Servce students participate in comminity service.

Get involved before the semester even begins! Project Serve is an optional community service experience for freshmen and transferring students. Participants will spend two days volunteering in Baltimore City & County before orientation begins.

Past Project Serve experiences have included:

  • Sorting donations at the Maryland Food Bank
  • Preparing meals at the Helping Up Mission

In addition to community service activities, there will be several teambuilding exercises, social activities, and a celebration dinner. All activities are led by trained student leaders who have previously participated in Project Serve.

Project Serve participants also have the opportunity to connect to our residential learning community - Tigers Serving Others. This is where students live together on the same floor during the academic year and continue to learn about and participate in community service. This exciting residential learning community is a partnership between Student Activities and Housing and Residence Life. Students will find out their housing assignment from Housing & Residence Life in August via e-mail.
