Student groups serve others.

Towson offers opportunities to connect with many service-oriented student groups. Select from the list below, find more on Involved@TU, or meet them at Student Activities' twice annual Involvement Fair.

  • Alternative Break Connections (ABC) organizes service-learning trips during the University's winter and spring breaks.
  • Alpha Phi Omega: International Service Fraternity has more than 17,000 male and female student members at 366 college campuses nationwide. Its mission is to prepare campus and community leaders through service.
  • Best Buddies is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing one-to-one friendship with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Circle K is a community service organization that has numerous fellowship and leadership benefits.
  • Habitat for Humanity is a student organization that works to eliminate substandard housing in the Baltimore City area.
  • Optimist Club is a volunteer group involved with many local organizations.
  • Project Lean On Us is a community service and mentoring organization for children (grades 1-3) and teenagers (grades 9-12) at the St. Ambrose Center, in Baltimore.
  • Sisterhood is an organization comprised of women, working to build awareness of community, cultural, political and other issues that affect women and society.
  • TigerTHON is a 12 hour Dance Marathon held at Towson University each year. The group fund raises all year long, with all proceeds benefitting the Childrens Miracle Network at the Johns Hopkins Childrens Center.
  • Young Adult Cancer Support (YACS) empowers young adults at Towson in the fight against cancer through support and service so that no student has to face cancer alone
