Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter
TU Box 4019
tuhabitat1@gmail.com
Towson University's campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity works to end poverty
housing in Baltimore. We do 1-2 workdays per month, rehabilitating old row
homes in various neighborhoods in the city. We also go on a spring break
trip each year. We generally go to a warmer southern state to help build
homes in other communities.
Project Lean On Us (L.O.U.)
TU Box 4043 projectlou1@yahoo.com Our group volunteers at a center in inner city
Baltimore to spend time and mentor elementary aged and high school aged
students. We visit once a week for the
entire semester. This is a great
organization for people thinking about teaching in an inner city area, and just
great for people that love kids.

P.A.W.S., Towson's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, was developed for the
following purposes: To streamline and promote efficient communication between
the athletic department, administration and the student-athlete population; To
design and implement programs that will encourage academic achievement, health
promotion, social responsibility, and general life skills awareness; To actively
encourage more student-athlete involvement in campus and community service and outreach
activities; To promote "togetherness" and support for all varsity teams by
encouraging attendance at athletic competitions of fellow student-athletes.
The
goal of SHAC is to create community and friendship among honors
college students and to strengthen this bond throughout the
whole University. The organization is open to anyone, and our
main goal is to enhance the college experience of the student
through a variety of interdisciplinary opportunities. We
participate in events containing and not limited to themes in
the academic, social, cultural, interdisciplinary and
stewardship areas. We meet twice a month to plan activities and
hold discussions on student issues within and outside of the
honors college.
