Moores Run Buffer Planting: Helps Herring Run establish a new tree buffer with ESL students on May 2nd. For more information contact Darin at dcrew@herringrun.org Food, Family, and Fun: This program provides nutrition and cooking information to youths and their families. Volunteers are needed on May3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th, 26th, and 31st to help staff the program. For more information contact coolhandsw@gmail.com Goalball: Volunteers are needed to staff Goalball every Friday night at 8pm at the Maryland School for the Blind. For more information contact Chelle at 410-319-5754. Grub n Give: Stop by the Susquehanna Terrace on May 4th from 11-1 to make a frog pillow. All materials will be provided and this is a great way to get some mandatory community service hours. MS Health and Safety Day: Volunteers are needed to help staff a table and talk to people about the programs and services provided by the National MS Society. This event occurs on May 7th. Mayfair: Volunteers are needed to run games, a silent auction, do arts and crafts, and more at Medfield Heights Elementary during their annual Mayfair on May 7th. Junior Exchange City: Volunteer at Exchange City on May 9th when students from different schools come to visit and learn about economics and financial success. End of Semester Food Drive: As you begin to clean out your dorm rooms and apartments, donate your left over non-perishable foods to the Maryland Food Bank. Drop boxes will be located in the OSA, UU 217beginning May 9th and ending May 20th. Mandatory Service Forms Due: Student organizations, your mandatory service forms are due on May 12th to Liz in the OSA. Common Sense Movie Night: On May 12th, volunteers are needed to enjoy the movie and interact with the children from the Maryland School for the Blind who attend movie night. Ride for the Feast: Volunteers are needed to help with pit stops, lunch, dinner, set up, and over night stays during this weekend of delivering food. The dates are May 14th and 15th.
