Current Chapter Conduct and Disciplinary Status

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

University Charge Date: January 22, 2013

D. Prohibited Conduct

Student Conduct/12. Violation of published institutional regulations and policies

Sanctions Include:

Suspension from Towson University through the fall 2015 semester. 

Upon return, the chapter must score at a “Bronze” level or better in the Towson University Chapter Assessment Program (CAP) for the first two semesters back after the national office recruits new members during their re-colonization efforts.  Please go to www.towson.edu/gogreek for more details about the program. Should the organization be able to return following the period of suspension, the organization will be placed on University Probation and Social Probation for a period of 1 calendar year starting at the time of re-recognition.

January 21, 2013

Suspended by the Delta Sigma Theta National office until the Spring 2015 semester for multiple

charges including but limited to hazing, underground pledging,failing to follow prescribed guidelines

for membership intake, and failure to report violations.

Deferred Supsension through Spring 2013, pending completion of TIPS program and

chapter must score "silver" status or better in the Chapter Assessmnet Pogram for the spring of 2013 semester

Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity

Charge Date: November 14, 2011

Endangering conduct that imperils or jeopardizes the health and safety of any person or persons,

incuding oneself

Violation of published institutional regulations and policies (hazing policy)

Violation of published institutional regulations and policies (social event registration policy)

Possession of illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia

The possession or use of alcoholic beverages in the following manner: by any person under 21 years of age; or,...a person 21 years of age or older purchasing for, serving to, or otherwise distributing alcohol to any person who is under 21 years of age.

Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity

Charge Date: April 11, 2012

(2 charges) Endangering conduct that imperils or jeopardizes the health and safety of any person or persons, incuding oneself,

Violation of published institutional regulations and policies (hazing policy),

Violation of published institutional regulations and policies (social event registration policy),

Violation of the University policy prohibiting sexual harrassment and/or the University sexual assault policy,

Uncooperative behavior and/or failure to comply with proper instructions of officials acting in performance of their duties,

(2 charges) The possession or use of alcoholic beverages in the following manner: by any person under 21 years of age; or,...a person 21 years of age or older purchasing for, serving to, or otherwise distributing alcohol to any person who is under 21 years of age.

Sanctions include:
