Fraternities and sororities are values-based social organizations that have thrived on the American college campus for more than 200 years. Greek-letter organizations instill in their members the importance of maintaining high moral, social, and intellectual standards. Sigma Chi does tug-of-war at Greek Olympics

Thirty fraternities and sororities comprise the Greek community at Towson University. This includes 20 traditional fraternities and sororities, three historically African American Greek-letter organizations, and five multicultural groups. Membership is open to full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students with a 2.25 cumulative GPA.
