Pawprints Collegiate Readership Program

New York Times Talk Lunches

Join the discussions on current events published in recent newspaper articles while enjoying pizza for lunch! Topics have ranged from health care reform to gay marriage, immigration and climate change. Attendees are asked to participate, have an open mind and be respectful of others' opinions. The New York Times Talk Lunches are designed to promote civic skills such as critical thinking, persuasion and reasoned argument as well as civilized and respectful debate. Sessions are from 12:00pm-1:30pm and are typically facilitated by a faculty member.
