Political Engagement

Political engagement, exercising one's right to vote and advocating for legislation and policy changes you believe in are important parts of engaged citizenship. In addition to raising student awareness of current issues through the campus newspaper program and monthly current events discussions, the department of Civic Engagement promotes active citizenship with annual events and informational campaigns. Every September Towson University celebrates Constitution Day with a week of activities. Voter registration and education programs operate year round, with extra emphasis during the Election season.
