TU in Spain -
IAU College, Center for Spanish Language and Culture
(courses taught in English and Spanish)
The TU in Spain program (administered by IAU College) offers participants an immersive language and cultural experience in Barcelona - Spain's second largest city and one of the most visited cities in the world. The program is based at the IAU College Center for Spanish Language and Culture in
Plaza Cataluña in the heart of the city.
Participants will engage in daily classes and two weekend excursions (Girona and Tarragona) leaving two weekends open for optional activities and time to explore the city. The program also features lectures and activities which will enable students to explore this diverse city.
Academic Information: 6 U.S. credits per summer per summer. TU students may receive Honors College credit for their study abroad experience.
Housing: Students live with a local host family who provide breakfast and dinner daily.
Dates: May 21- June 24, 2013
Cost*:$4,650 includes academic credit, housing, daily breakfast and dinners,
program excursions, scheduled cultural activities, health insurance, airport pick-up and orientation. Students will be billed by Towson University. Additional costs include airfare, all other meals,personal expenses, and a $150 TU Study Abroad Fee.
*The Towson University Study Abroad Office reserves the right to make any necessary changes including adjustments in cost in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise.
Eligibility: Must be a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking student with an overall GPA of 2.5 and one year of college level Spanish. Sophomore/Junior/Senior status.
Application Process: Fill out the application and submit it to the TU Study Abroad Office. $50 application fee. Non-TU students must also submit a completed Non-Degree Enrollment Application.
