Study Abroad Pre-departure Information for Students

GRADES AND CREDITS TRANSFER

Prior to summer 2012, courses taken through Towson University Study Abroad administered programs (including exchanges) and affiliated programs will be posted to the TU record using the Pass Grading Option (PS/DX/FEX) but will not be calculated into the Towson GPA. These courses will not count toward the 12 unit maximum toward graduation allowed for courses taken under the Pass Grading Option and may fulfill major and minor requirements. (Exceptions: Grades will be posted and calculated into the Towson GPA for faculty-led programs and the TU Dublin Summer Internship Program).

Beginning summer 2012, letter grades for all courses taken abroad through Towson University Study Abroad administered programs (including exchanges) and affiliated programs will be posted to the TU record using the Transfer Grading Basis but will not be calculated into the Towson GPA. (Exceptions: Grades will be calculated into the TU GPA for TU faculty-led programs and the TU Dublin Summer Internship Program).

Overseas Transcript

Please notify the host institution or program to send your transcript to the TU Study Abroad Office. Your credits and grades cannot be posted to your TU record until we receive your transcript. Students are responsible for paying all debts at the host institution. Failure to do so will delay posting of grades and credits to your TU transcript.
