Rebecca Pisano, Ph.D.- Director
Rebecca advises for Asia programs and Semester at Sea. She is the TU representative for the Boren Awards and has a special interest in Service Learning abroad. Rebecca holds a Ph.D. in Comparative/International Studies in Education from UCLA and a M.A. in International Development Studies from George Washington University. While an undergraduate at Miami University she studied abroad in Seville, Spain. She has since spent time volunteering in Poland and Paraguay, interning in Mexico, and conducting research in Ecuador. Rebecca joined the TU Study Abroad Office in 2008.
Liz Shearer - Associate Director
Liz advises for the United Kingdom and Ireland, works with graduate study abroad students, and coordinates the incoming international exchange student program. She completed a B.A. in Social Sciences at Nottingham Trent University in the UK and holds a M.A. in Liberal and Professional Studies from Towson University. Liz moved to the U.S. from Bristol, England in 1998 and joined the TU Study Abroad Office in 2000.
Sarah O'Donnell- Advisor
Sarah advises for Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Spain, Central America and South America, and Trinidad and Tobago. She has a B.A. in Sociology and studied Integrated Marketing Communications at the graduate level. While an undergraduate at St. Bonaventure University, she studied abroad for a semester in San Jose, Costa Rica and spent a month in Scotland. Sarah joined the TU Study Abroad Office in 2011.
Courtney Knott- Advisor
Courtney advises for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Mary Washington,
an MA in European Studies from Flensburg University in Germany, and an MSc in European Studies from Southern Denmark University. While an undergraduate, she studied abroad for a semester in Stellenbosch, South Africa and for a semester in Grenoble, France. Courtney joined the TU Study Abroad Office in 2011.
Rachel Steinhaus - Programs Assistant
Rachel works with students participating in our short-term faculty-led programs. She holds a B.A in German and Cultural Studies from the University of Minnesota. While an undergraduate, she studied abroad for a semester in Freiburg, Germany. Rachel joined the TU Study Abroad Office in 2013.
