TU Dublin Internship Summer Program, Ireland

The Towson University Dublin Internship Program offers exciting, career-enhancing placements in Ireland. This 7-week program consists of a 1-week orientation and a 6-week professional practice internship in Dublin.

Internship opportunities are available in a wide variety of industry sectors including (but not limited to) the following:

Students will be placed at organizations or businesses in Dublin. Program staff on-site in Dublin will contact and arrange the internship placement based on the student's preferences. Participants are not responsible for finding a placement. Individual placement interviews will be conducted by telephone approximately 3 months prior to the program start date. All internships are unpaid.

Course: 3-6 credits (course and credits determined by TU academic department). TU students may receive Honors College credit for their study abroad experience.

Housing: Students will live in shared student apartments ay Shanowen Square located within a 15-minute bus ride of the center of Dublin. The co-ed apartments consist of 3 to 5 single bedrooms with private bathrooms, a shared kitchen and living area, internet connections (students use their own laptops) and an on-site convenience store and laundry facilities. Linens are included, but students will need to bring or buy their own towels.

• Student housing

Cost: *$4,580 includes academic credit, internship placement, housing, health insurance,a social program that includes welcome and farewell receptions and a cultural activity, and an on-site orientation. Additional costs include $150 study abroad fee, airfare, meals, ground transportation in Dublin, and personal expenses.

*The Towson University Study Abroad Office reserves the right to make any necessary changes including adjustments in cost in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise.

Eligibility: Open to Towson University students only. You must check with the Internship Coordinator in your department to find out if you meet the department's minimum eligibility requirements. Each department has specific eligibility requirements which students must meet before being able to complete an internship.

Application Process: Fill out the application and submit it to the TU Study Abroad Office. $50 application fee.
