TU Sangmyung University Exchange, Seoul, Korea

Sangmyung is truly a global institution with 115 partner universities worldwide including 41 partner universities in the U.S. These relationships play a critical role in helping the university achieve their goal of educating students who are comfortable dealing with different cultures and working in foreign environments.

Sangmyung University is located in South Korea's capital city of Seoul. With over ten million people living within its city limits, Seoul is one of the largest and most densely populated cities in the world. The city is the country's political, cultural, and economic center, as well as an international business center, and is considered one of the top 20 "world-class cities". The bus and subway systems make traveling throughout the city easy and affordable. All the major attractions that Seoul has to offer are within easy reach of the university.

International students studying at SMU will be assigned a buddy upon arrival who will help introduce you to academic and social life in Korea. Sangmyung students are strongly encouraged to volunteer in this program as it not only beneficial to international students but also exposes volunteers to both the language and culture of the foreign student.
