Study at the University of Palermo (UP) and immerse yourself in the culture and language of Argentina. UP is located in Buenos Aires - the most European of all Latin American cities. With its wide boulevards, leafy parks, grand buildings and varied culture and nightlife, the city is reminiscent of Paris or Barcelona.
Buenos Aires:Buenos Aires is the third largest city in South America and comprises 47 neighborhoods (barrios) in which nearly nine million people live. Buenos Aires is a 24 hour city with something for everyone - art galleries, theaters, museums, restaurants, and a continuous agenda of cultural attractions and events. The city offers a mild climate year-round.
The University of Palermo´s main campus is located in the Palermo neighborhood, famous for its squares, gardens and unique shops. Easily accessible by public transportation, the neighborhood offers a variety of cafes, restaurants and bookstores where students share their daily experiences.
Academic Information: All courses are taught in Spanish. Students will be directly enrolled at the University of Palermo and will be studying along side Argentine students in regular UP classes. Students choose up to five courses at the University of Palermo and participants can elect to take one course in Spanish language at the intermediate or advanced level. TU students may receive Honors College credit for their study abroad experience.

Housing: Students are encouraged to choose the host family option arranged through UP. Living with an Argentine host family allows students to truly experience everyday life and culture in Buenos Aires. Students are also encouraged to speak Spanish immediately upon arrival. Residences, apartments and hotel rooms are also available.
Costs:* Spring 2013: $4,650 Fall 2013: $4,650
Cost includes academic credit, health insurance, and orientation. Additional costs include passport and visa fees, airfare, housing, personal expenses, and a $300 Study Abroad Fee.

Eligibility: Must be a full-time undergraduate degree-seeking student with an overall GPA of 2.5.
Sophomore/Junior/Senior status. Students must have completed 4+ semesters of college level Spanish to participate.
Application Process: Fill out the application and submit it to the TU Study Abroad Office. $50 application fee. Non-TU students must also submit a completed Non-Degree Enrollment Application.
