Our Study Abroad Peer Advisors are current TU students who have already studied abroad and now work in the TU Study Abroad Office. They are eager to share stories about their time abroad and can provide first-hand advice and guidance before, during, and after your study abroad experience.
Ask a Peer Advisor
Study Abroad Peer Advisors can help you research programs, look up classes, and give you general tips about studying and living overseas. Send them an email at peeradvisor@towson.edu to ask a specific question or to make an appointment to meet with one of them. You don’t have to be interested in the country where the Peer Advisor studied in order to talk with them.
NOTE: Students who meet with a Peer Advisor are still required to attend an information session and meet with a Study Abroad Advisor.

Fall 2012
"I am a junior majoring in Electronic Media and Film. I’m an outgoing, fun-loving person who thoroughly enjoys meeting new people. Studying abroad helped me to widen the lens with which I view the world. I hope to continue travelling and collecting stories from the people I meet - all with a camera in hand."
Kelly Rudolph ISA - Salamanca
Spain
Spring 2013
"I am a junior double-majoring in Communications and Spanish. Learning the Spanish language and culture has been a passion of mine since I was in elementary school; however, nothing I learned in all my years of school can compare to my semester abroad. I wasn’t just learning while I was in Spain, I was experiencing. I finally was able to see and do things that previously I could only dream of. A word of warning: once you come back from studying abroad, you WILL want to go again! Besos!"

Summer 2012
"I am a senior majoring in International Studies with a minor in Chinese as well as Business, Communication, and Liberal Arts. I’m also a president of the Towson University Belly Dance Club (Rising Tigress Belly Dance). I love learning about different cultures and perspectives and study abroad was the perfect opportunity to do just that. Studying abroad in China gave me the opportunity to experience how people go about life outside of the Western world. Even with only a month abroad, I got a taste of traveling and can’t wait to sample more. By the way, it’s true what Disney World tells you, it is a small world after all."
Leigh Anne Weaver ISA - University of Westminster, London
United Kingdom
Spring 2012
"I am a junior majoring in Early Childhood and Special Education with hopes of one day teaching in a Kindergarten classroom. I am a sister of Kappa Delta and have always had a passion for helping others reach their full potential. Studying abroad challenged me to not only step outside my comfort zone but to reach a higher level of self awareness and achievement that I never knew I was capable of. The experiences you will have abroad are ones that will change your life forever."
